Ina is a freelance private chef, owner of Live Spicy Culinary Adventures, sharing her love of ethnic foods and exotic locations with other globe-trotting foodies.
Since August 2014, Ina has been on a perpetual adventure exploring the worlds oceans, islands, back roads and trails less-traveled and, in one year alone, she has logged over 48,000 miles - that's two times around the planet! - by air, sea, car, train and on foot.
Her cooking adventures have taken her to Hawaii, Tahiti, American Samoa, Latvia, Mexico and Alaska as a Sea Chef. During her 3 seasons onboard an Alaskan adventure charter plying the Inside Passage of the Misty Fjords National Monument, she served up catch-of-the-day, everyday, and now her favorite seafood recipes are available in her first cookbook, Fish ON! A Collection of Wild Seafood Recipes (soon available in ebook format).
Her first visit to the Hawaiian Islands was in 1986 and she has explored them all with Kaua’i being one of her favorites. Ina is excited to share her knowledge about local foods, farms and Island adventure with guests of Marjorie's Kaua'i Inn, helping create magical moments, fond food memories and unforgettable Hawaiian experiences!
While on Kauaʻi and between working on the next Live Spicy Culinary Adventure, Ina loves to catch local music and dance Hula. She also loves to comb secret coves for beach glass, hike and explore Island flora & fauna, and of course, loves getting out on the water.
