Stephanie Guthrie: 

Expect the charms of Southern hospitality greeting you in the paradise of Kaua'i when Jennifer and Stephanie are inn sitting. These Tennessee gals have been friends since high school (we won't count the years!), and they can't wait to help you explore the garden island.

Stephanie is passionate about travel, ready to go anywhere there are new people to meet, new cultures to experience, and new sights to see. Stephanie first visited Marjorie's in July '10 while vacationing with her mother. While she typically prefers to visit new places when she travels, Stephanie couldn't wait to return to Kaua'i. The beauty of the island and its people made her want to share the experience with new people and find new adventures of her own.

When not traveling, Stephanie's "real world" job is in mental health. She primarily works with troubled teens and low-income families, often providing individual peer counseling or leading support groups. Her primary goal is to connect people with available mental health services before they reach crises levels. She also works with those in crisis to avoid future recurrences.

Stephanie volunteers for several organizations, including the Race Relations Center of East Tennessee, Small Breed Rescue of East Tennessee, and Court Appointed Special Advocates. She is pursuing a Master's degree in Human Behavior and enjoys remodeling her house that was out-of-date enough to be lovingly dubbed "The Brady House". She is not married and has no children, but her 18 year old goddaughter lives with her. Her mom is sad that she can't return to Kaua'i with Stephanie, but mom is busy puppysitting the granddogs while Stephanie is at Marjorie's.
